What To Expect

- Do not expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This can be a 2 step process. It takes time. Be patient during your 10 day healing process your brows will change and appear different from day to day. - Immediately after your procedure brows will appear darker and more defined and this will last up to 2 weeks. Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, hair strokes may seem to disappear and it may look wet and painted on. - Around days 4-5 you ill experience flaking and your brows may look dry. Do not pick your brows, let any dryness fall off naturally. If flakes get picked off prematurely missing hair strokes will result and cause patchy brows which can lead to scarring. - Your brow tattoo will take up to 4 weeks to fully heal. When the flaking comes off the hair strokes may seem faint this is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the hair strokes will become clearer. Colour will continue to change on a daily basis until all healing is complete at the 4 week mark. - You may experience itchiness in the brows after the 10 days for up to 2 months due to the healing process of the dermal layer. - Not everyones hairstroke brows can heal clean and crisp. Hairstrokes for oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while direr skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Also for those who bleed more may tend to need more touchups as the blood pushes the pigment out while we tattoo.

What Not To Do

- Do not expose your brows to the sun during the healing process. UV rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo. Following the first 10 days SPF is important for the longevity your micro pigmentation. - Do not sweat excessively for 10 days. Sweat contains salt and can infect and prematurely fade your brow tattoo. This is especially important in the first few days, you do not want to wash out any pigment. - Do not run direct water on your brow tattoo. This is especially important in the first few days, you do not want to wash out any pigment. - Do not use vaseline on your tattoo. - Do not use any makeup, creams, exfoliants not he brows for 10 days. - Do not go into sauna’s, pools and steam rooms. - Do not get massages or facials or skin treatments during the healing process. - Do not go tanning and if you do cover your brow tattoo, UV rays can alter the colour of your tattoo. - Do not use exfoliants, retinal acids, or aha’s not he brow area. It will Ade your tattoo prematurely. - Do not use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo. This can darken, lighten and distort the pigment.

About Touch Ups

Allow your brows a minimum of 4 weeks to heal after your first session It is your responsibility to book your touch up appointments. Please keep the high demand in mind. If your tattoo comes back to faded additional charges may apply. - Touch ups are typically done within the first 3 months after the initial appointment. - This can be a 2 (and sometimes even 3) step process - The first session is used to build shape and gain symmetry. - The second session is used to perfect the brows and add density. - This is a process and some clients may need multiple sessions to achieve their desired result. - Do not expect perfect results after the first session. - Darker skin and oily skin women, permanent makeup will not look as bold or sharp compared to lighter, dryer skin type clients. - Some client’s skin may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional sessions.

Long Term Care

There is no guarantee of results as everyone’s result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the initial 10 day care and longterm care of your brow tattoo. - Use at least SPF 50 to protect your brows, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the colour of your tattoo. - Do not use chemical exfoliants on the brows, this will case the brows to fade faster. - Do not laser your brow area (IPL Etc.), some lasers may change the colour of the ink. - As the tattoo fades the strokes will get fainter and less defined. - Maintenance is required to maintain desired results. Touchups are done on average every 9 - 24 months to maintain your brow tattoo. - Hairstroke brows typically last 1-3 years.

Lip Blush Aftercare

Lips will feel swollen and very dry after your treatment. Apply ointment on lips several times a day. This should be done for at least 14 days post treatment. Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed colour. During the day if lips feel dry, apply a liberal amount of ointment. Just tap on skin and do not run in. Always use a clean q-tip, not fingers to apply ointment to the lips area. This will reduce the risk of infection. After lips are no longer tender to the touch they may become flaky. This is normal and is expected. Please do not pick or scratch at them. This may significantly reduce the amount of pigment absorption. Avoid the sun and tanning beds pre and post procedure. Be sure to sue a sun block once lips are healed. Do not use any glycolic, hydroxy or fruit acid products on lips. Avoid direct water pressure, pools and other bodies of water, until healed. You can resume wearing lipstick once lips are healed. Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness are all common post treatment side effects and will dissipate in a short period of time. Avoid oily, salty, acidic foods and alcohol while healing. Lips are a muscle and may require a touch-up session to complete the process of this procedure. Lips are unpredictable. Some clients will yield very strong healed lip colour. Others will only heal with slight colour uptake. This will vary on an individual basis clients with sun damage, scar tissue (from injury or fever blisters) and clients with implants may not have strong results. Hyperpigmentation can happen on any lip client without warning. If you have a history of fever blisters, cold sores or chicken pox, we advise you to go to the doctor or for an anti-viral medication prior to any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Follow all before and after instructions after all lip treatments. Lip retouch must be scheduled 30 to 45 days apart from initial season to help with colour retention. Lips heal in three stages: Too dark - Too Light - Just Right. This takes one month to happen. Please avoid any friction to lip area.

Eyelash Enhancement Aftercare

Your skin will be temporarily sensitized after the treatment and you should adhere to the following instructions for the next 10 days. This will help avoid infections nd allow time for the skin to recover. If you apply makeup during the next 5 days following your treatment, you do so entirely at your own risk. Healing can take up to 10 days and it is perfectly normal for small scabbing to appear on the treated area. These should be allowed to fall off naturally over a period of a few days. After the treatment; It is also normal for there to be fading of the colour during the first 2 weeks and patchy sections, as the skin is still healing and the pigment will return to the surface in about 30 days. The outcome will be subtle. This is not eyeliner tattoo, it is eyelash enhancement. A soft shadowed enhancement to your lash line to create the illusion of fuller lashes. This will not replace the use of the eyeliner but instead give you a natural eye enhancement. Allow the skin to breathe. - Sleep slightly elevated for the first few nights to reduce swelling. Colour will fade 30-40% - Do not pick at the tattoo site at any time during healing. - Be careful not to get ointment in your eyes and use it sparingly. - Do not let the area dry out completely, since this can cause scabbing and cracking of skin surface. - Do not touch the treated area. - Do not use creams or make up on the treated area(s) - Avoid facial treatments such as eyelash tinting, perming or lifting. - Avoid abrasive materials such as rough towels or similar. - Avoid taking hot baths, saunas or other heat treatments. - Avoid sunbathing, using sunbeams or swimming. - Avoid hot yoga/spin class for 10 days.
